About:	Energy Smart Home Performance is all about doing and promoting work that changes the dialogue. Home Performance is the art and science of bringing a home into balance to deliver comfort, a healthy environment, reduced moisture problems, and make it cheaper to run. In the industry, we are working to change the failed incentive structures nationwide that deliver poor results for homeowners and promotes a race to the bottom for contractors with one that benefits everyone called One Knob. It's getting some traction, too, look it up on Green Building Advisor or GreenTech Media. For homeowners, we help develop and execute plans to truly solve problems at their root like rooms or floors that heat or cool poorly, icicles and ice dams, indoor air quality/respiratory issues, and more. It's simple from a theory standpoint: get adequate control over heat, air, and moisture flows, and you can make a house do anything you want. The details are critical if you really want results, though, and we can help make sure they are done right. We firmly believe that Home Performance is what all of us can personally do to make ourselves healthier and make sure we leave enough for future generations.
