When a system requires minimum heating and low water flow, in order to protect the boiler from scaling in low temperature, a minimum water flow is required to circulate through boiler per manufacturer recommendation. The minimum water flow can be provided by either the factory installed circulating pump or by a VFD on the pump in primary loop within hot water system.
