This is kind of manufacturing aspect and needs a complicated heat transfer and thermodynamic calculation process. Manufacturers have a special software for this purpose and it cannot be done manually as a lot of factors are involved, such as properties of the refrigerant which being used, amount of the heat generation by the refrigerant hot gas, condenser design configuration and etc. The MEP engineers are not concern with the manufacturing part of the HVAC equipment, and they just make an equipment selection per their estimated cooling or heating load.
