The Sovent is an engineered combination drainage and vent system. The Sovent system consist of four parts:
- Drain, waste and vent stack.
- Sovent aerator fitting at each floor level.
- Drain, waste and vent horizontal branches.
- Sovent deaerator fitting at the base of the stack.
For designing the Sovent system the following procedure should be followed:
- Prepare a layout drawing.
- Determine the loading on each section of pipe.
- Size the stack.
- Size the branches
- Select the fittings above the building drain.
- Design the connections to the building drain.
- Size the building drain.
