Is it true that exhaust hood with internal plate flow can reduced by 80% compared to same hood without internal plate?

In new technology kitchen hood by using the vortex path design air travels in a helical or corkscrew and creating a centrifugal force to throw grease out of the air stream. Taking advantage of the different surfaces is making air to change directions so as to better capturing the grease and make the system more efficient.
