Mixing valve has three connections: cold, hot, and mixed hot and cold water (tempered water). By adjusting the mixing valve can mix the partial cold and partial hot water until the temperature gauge reaches to the desired temperature
If equal volume of cold and hot water is mixed together, then the mixed water temperature would be calculated as follows:
Tmix = (Tc + Th)/2
